I have also had the experience where i submitted proof for a refunded ticket that they acknowledged as being veritable. Well almost a year and 4 months later I had to retain a lawyer to pursue the claim that they would not honor although they were supposed to , according to their own policy..I was only reimbursed after I pursued litigation. Very tricky Airlines.

Emirates Airlines in Toronto, Ontario - Terrible Service

I was excited to Emirates because of its reputation. What I received was a terrible service. FA even made me think I was lucky flying Emirates Airline. The flight was full (Toronto to Dubai) but no water rounds, food choice was limited (because they ran out). I asked for snacks, none. They gave more importance to a passenger who are drinking. The flight back to Toronto was no better. When I asked for a landing permit the FA told me its not mandatory. He told me where in the manual it say he needs to give it. Maybe alternate airlines?

Emirates Airlines in Johannesburg, Gauteng - Dangerous item!!!

Going through customs for flight 19H15 to Dubai on the 12th of February I was declined to take a 32inch golf putter (birthday present) as hand luggage while other passengers were allowed walking sticks, guitars etc. What is the difference? Guitar strings are just as dangerous in the wrong persons hands, not to mention the walking sticks. When I was sent back to the check-in desk to check the putter in as "fragile", I was told the gate is closed and informed in a "*** happens" attitude the putter must stay behind. Couldn't an air-hostess just take the putter and secured it somewhere in a locker on the plane? I therefor had to cancel my flight (which was a return flight). The supervisor at the check-in counter was also not available for me to retrieve my booked-in luggage, which was only done an hour later. Theuns van der Bergh.

Emirates Airlines - FAKE warranty in flight store

I have purchased a watch EKD 1284 in flight on 24 December 2012 under warranty. During the warranty period the watch suddenly stops and not working. I do not go to any watch repair store because it is under warranty. I contact in Dubai office over phone [It is expensive] as well as email. I have been responded by a representative named Asha Kolnad phone 971 (55) 8831089. She was cooperative and suggested me to contact with UK office. The respective person of UK office is Lewis King, Quality Controller Tel: 01293 411733 Fax: 01293 414544 He gave me suggestion that I have to check the battery. According to his suggestion, I went to repair store to check my watch and found that it is not battery issue. Till now, several time I contact with them but they do not co-operate with me neither email nor over the phone. Also, Asha Kolnad who was co-operative at a point of time. It is a shame to me. Now I blame to myself why I bought from Emirates the watch with warranty. In reality this a FAKE warranty. However, I got a lesson that DO NOT BUY ANY THING FROM EMIRATS INLIGHT STORE.

Reference to the above complaint on Watch bought at Emirates Inflight Store Duty Free -> Mr.Kamar's complaint / Issue was addressed on time and was offered him a Brand New Watch (of the same model). Our team managed to send this replacement watch to his place via courier without asking to return the Faulty watch back. I think Mr.Kamar forgot to update the rest ....in this Blog

EK 441 thu 24jan delayed 10hrs ex ADL. EK resrvations rang to advse & confirm onward flight rebookings & comfirm accomodation at EK expense in transit DXB as 13hrs transit. Upon arrival in DXB no-one seemed to be aware of us, no accomodation vouchers, no updates, no information & a meal voucher that was for another terminal! Terrible customer service with staff reluctant to give information & kept telling us for hours to keep coming back & that a room may be available! I have 13hrs transit in DXB due to aircraft schedule 19feb MLE-DXB-ADL. Will EK compensate me & provide transit accomodation? Would never recommend EK at his point!

Hi, i travelled by economy on emirates from jfk to kolkata 2006. Service was excellent and pleasant. Recently travelled again on emirates again jfk to kolkata. Awful. Awful. Extereme detioration in service. On a 14 hr flight...flight att. Did not come to my seat with water even once. You used to give a bottle water before, but now maybe...1/2 of a small glass? People get very dehydrated you know.crew manners are ruder than before, and bathrooms used to be cleaned halfway into the flight...not anymore. Filthy. Fithy. Clogged sinks, no soap and toilet tissue. Your prices are higher than most. Infact I went by quatar airways to kolkata in sept. 2012. Was as good as emirtes used to be back then. Emirates is a rip off folks.

Everyone knows people get dehydrated on flights silly ! Thats why duty free sells bottles, and why airplanes have water dispensers on board :)

When complaining here you try to look as if you were innocent sheep, but back then in there i am sure that it was your behaviour or disrespectful attitude that made that guy so upset. You must REALLY REALLY upset a person in any customer service job, to talk to you like that, if it is even true.

I had similiar experience with Emirates. There was 25 minute delay in the train to the airport and I reached the check in counter.

The service agent said I had 1 minute to check in. I gave him my passport and kept my bag for check-in. It was 2 kilos excess (which did not show up when I checked at home :() and I told him I could shift a couple of dresses to cabin bag. He rudely refused and said nothing can be done as my minute was up :eek He asked me to contact their office.

I went up and explained to them I need to catch the flight. I have already got my boarding pass and there is still one WHOLE hour left until ***. No help whatsoever. They actually suggested I could dump all my bags and board the flight :?

else take one the next day. And then I realized I don't have my passport. When I told the office, one of the staff called the service agent, laughed and had a hearty chat for couple of mins and then said something to another staff. She went and got my passport.

Apparently they had left it open on the desk of an international airport in clear access for anyone :( The staff is neither helpful nor courteous. They did not have the basic manners to apologize after such a reckless mistake. I booked the flight for the next day and asked for the names of the staff and service agent. Apparently they are like Madonna, only first names and they are the only ones in that name :p "Am @@@, am the only @@@ here'.

'He is ### and he is the only ###' :roll Added to that is all the hushed up conversations in their own language in a serious tone. From the extent of care they showed, for all I know they were discussing whether to order an egg salad or not :upset

Oh no no free wine?!?!?! in Dubai say it aint soooo!! Planes go technical, fact of life it *** the airline off even more than it does you trust me!!!

Ryan air would not have put you in a hotel, paid for your meals or given you transport to and from the airport; they barely wouldve put you on the next flight.

And point of fact I'm british, born british Ive posted many many many times on this site and this is the first time i've ever stated this fact. Just because you're british does not entitle you to free upgrades, waivers of excess baggage, or an exemption from flights going technical. PLZ PLZ PLZ stop ruining brits reputation. Im sick of having to defend myself cos of idiots like yourself get a clue.

Fog. .

. well not really anyones fault particularly an airline. As for the staff, well having been in that situation before. for you its a six hour *** and a 15minute barrage at the person at the counter who invariably has been given very little information other than flights delayed until further notice standby.

Followed by being chained to a counter for the next 12 hours being screamed at by passengers over and over and over again to do things you literally cannot do eg upgrades (guess what there isn't a magic button at the staffs disposal they can click and youre automatically upgraded) having hotel rooms, lounges, food drink and especially the power to make planes ***.

Just leave a little sympathy for the staff, the ones in front of you are definitely not the ones with power.
