My wife was on the delayed (14 hours) fight from Glasgow - Kuala Lumpur on 23rd January. I sent a letter of complaint to Tim Clark - it was dealt with by someone in Emirates office although it was a personal letter - so I attached it in an email to 19 senior members of...

Emirates airline employ criminals...my exhusband is their Captain Patrick De Roeck of the airbus A380 a deadbeat father to my 16 year old son that he has abandoned for the past 13 years. They hide out in Dubai and ignore us in the outside world.

Im now going public to the media as something has to be done about this. Sylvia De Roeck

Traveling by myself to Hyderabad from IAD through Dubai. Flight to Dubai is full, already kicking myself over the opera of children crying, but its ok. We were on the tarmac for 3 hours over a problem with the water system, waited another hour in line to get a meal...

I recently traveled to Dubai on holiday with a connection in Hong Kong. Upon arrival in Hong Kong, I was told that I wouldn't be allowed to board the plane without a medical clearance as I was in a wheelchair and traveling alone. I am a healthy, active,...

Emirates Airlines in London, England - Lack of sympathy, unlike Lufthansa

Death in family, tickets booked using Skywards miles and needed to change date. Emirates didn't really care: "we will put you on the rewards waiting list", asked if the economy was full, but was told its "wide open". Means they would rather fly an empty seat than give it to a Skywards customer, even if it is death. My colleague had a similar experience with Lufthansa, with the only difference that they were so humane and not blinded by profit. Lufthansa was wonderful, Emirates are not, at all. I used to fly Emirates often but I will scale back after this.

Im sorry but if i would have a death in my family, i would immediately buy a full fare ticket, and not try to "save the cost" (which is the same as being profit-oriented, what you criticise). If it was important for me to get there, i would rather buy the ticket then use miles and risk not getting there. Well, your family member didnt deserve you buying that ticket?

Or you didnt have the money? That is not the airlines fault. Lufthansa did leave me behind on standby tickets, just like all airlines do sometimes. And just to remind you, if the airplane had a last minute booking for cargo to be taken, they would choose to take it and leave non-revenue bookings behind(which in this case would be anyone who didnt directly pay for that particular ticket). This is a normal procedure, and happens with any airline. In the end of the day its a business not a charity organization.

Would be great to know what flights were involved: some long-haul flights even have paying passengers offloaded whenever the system is "wide open" for bookings, due to excess fuel to be taken should one of the engines would stop above an ocean,or for any unexpected diversion, or due to taking off in high temperature, in which case the engine performance is lower, therefore needs more fuel to give the same power like in lower temperatures.

In this case they would offload passengers and put fuel instead, leaving seats empty. This happens more on Middle Eastern Airlines simply because they operate from a base that has high temperatures all year round.

It could be a million reasons they did not let you on board, and what you have no insight of. Chances are that offloading you and probably a few more, was a requirement for a safe operation. Why they choose YOU to offload?

Because you didnt pay cash for your ticket. As simple as that.

Emirates Airlines in Sydney, New South Wales - Feel like wasted the money.

Though purchase the ticket with Premium Rate, tot satisfied, at all. Feel like wasted the money. Issue with Food: Specifically requested food with dietary requirement, however got compromised food, couple of times. Other service: Requested for special assistance due to language barrier, and being advised that will get somebody on board to help. However, no body turned up from the crew, and found many issues for even basic needs. The height of ignoring customer complaint: Raised my concerns three times, via online complaint, however till haven’t got any answer/update. I doubt, is it world class airline? Will not recommend it to anybody, ever.

Emirates Airlines - Loss due to Delayed Flight
We had made arrangement for our travel from Mumbai (BOM) to Los Angeles (LAX) via Emirates. On 7th April 2013 we had taken flight EK501 from Mumbai to Dubai and were well on time. Our Flight EK215 at 08.55 hours on 7th April, 2013, was delayed and was rescheduled to...

Emirates Airlines in Dubai, Dubai - Flight transfer

Our flight on 06042013 EK= 601 from Karachi to Dubai was delayed. Hence they did not let us board our onward flight to Gatwick EK=9. For good many hours staff were totally unhelpful and wouldnt tell us about our onward journey, Then one guy told us to rebook the flight for 09042013, as other flights were totally booked. I told him that I am an eye surgeon and I had to see my patients, who are booked to be seen on 08042013. Finally at 17:30 we were booked to Tehran,Frankfurt and Gatwick. Thus touching 5 countries in 10 hours. Unfortunately we reached Gatwick on Monday and missed my clinics.Apart from patient's complain against me, we incurred a loss of £ 1,130. which we would like to be reimbursed. The other thing is I am a diabetic and Emirates refused any food coupons in spite of repeated requests.

Emirates Airlines in Amsterdam, North Holland - Ripped my wife passport while swiping and doesnt inform me

Emirates employee (Amsterdam) rip my wife passport while swiping and doesn't inform me, only immigrating officer show me the bottom part of picture and info page was missing, upon inquiring to emirates they said we didn't rip it must be me who did that, the two other passport of my kids also were ripped from the same place. They were rude, UN-professional, offensive they didn't help us in the end we could not travel, Emirates employee even didn't act like humans, I live in Antwerp and I have to take a train to come back. I have sent emails and letter to Emirates Amsterdam office but I have not received any answer yet. If i don't receive any answer in few days I am planning to take legal action Emirates. This is the incident of 7th February 2013 and we were five passengers me, my wife, kids ages 14, 12 and 5 months baby. That was the miserable day of my life and I will do everything to claim damages from Emirates.

Hi, the exact same thing just happened to me with Jet Airways however we saw them do it and they have given us proof they did it as well. Unfortunately though they are refusing to accept responsibility to cover our expenses for losing our holiday (connecting flight, hotels...).

How did you get on with Emirates? Thank you in advance, Nina

Emirates staff don't handle passports. Immigration staff swipe passports. Check in staff only look at your photo page to ensure the passport holder matches the ticket name in their computer, no swiping.
